Speaking and facilitation

Useful ideas should change the conversation after the session

I speak and facilitate on Business Analysis, transformation, AI adoption, decision-making and the practical realities of complex change. My sessions combine real project stories, simple visual models and a constructive challenge to conventional thinking. The aim is not to make the topic sound more complicated; it is to help people see their own work differently and leave with language or ideas they can use.

Example topics

Sessions shaped around what the audience should think or do differently

Topics can be delivered as conference talks, meetup sessions, internal presentations or facilitated leadership conversations. The content and emphasis are adapted to the audience, the context and what the organiser wants people to think or do differently afterwards.

AI without the hype

The Definedness Continuum

Choosing an approach that matches how well the problem is actually understood.

Define good before choosing a solution

Improving the quality of organisational decisions.

From messy to meaningful

Creating enough structure to move complex transformation work forward.

Custom sessions

Content built around an organisation's current challenge or event theme.

Formats

The right format depends on what the session needs to achieve

Sessions can range from a focused conference presentation to a longer interactive workshop or facilitated discussion.

The right format depends on whether the primary purpose is to introduce an idea, build a practical skill, create alignment or help a group work through a live problem. I am active in the New Zealand BA community through Analysis Collective Aotearoa and regularly speak at meetups and events — a good way to see the style before booking a session.
